The original Ant-Man, Hank Pym, has retired. So who's left to pick up (well, steal) the costume and its size-changing, ant-communicating powers? This time its a guy named Scott Lang, a...um...well, a reformed criminal in search of redemption and new purpose in life. Lang is also a struggling single dad, trying to balance hero-ing with parenting. It's a well-worn premise, but actually shows promise (and a little bit of humor) for fans of the Marvel universe.
Parents should be aware that Ant-Man #1 earns its T+ rating, and might want to preview the comic before handing it off to their kids.
