Gratitude

I am realizing that all of our fun pictures of our trip to Zion didn't post correctly, I'll work on that. The last week or so I have been feeling and immense amount of gratitude to many people in my life, my husband, my kids, and mostly to my Father in Heaven. At the beginning of this month I was fortunate enough to be able to sell "my company".  Ethan and I have worked on...

Trip to Zion National Park, April 2012

On this vacation I tried to update the iPad everyday on our adventures and the following is what came out of it - We started out our adventure at around 6 am. The kids are doing great and we have about a half hour until arrival.  The car is quiet besides Cody’s usual sounds and Rylee asks,   “Mom, how does a mom get pregnant?”   I tell her we will have to go for a...

She’s got CURVES!

I know, I know….I blog really well for a few times and then nothing forever.  It has been an eventful few months and I thought I'd fill the blog in.  At the beginning of February Ms. Rylee had her annual Well-Child-Check.  I am pretty good about making sure my kids have these every year and especially her.  It's been a routine thing for the last few years,...

Justin Update

It's been awhile since I have updated on Justin!  He really is doing fantastic with a few glitches if you would call them that.  He did really well after his Cytoxan for about a month and right around the holidays his little body decided to start spilling protein again.  His doctor happened to be the one on call so I was able to stay in contact with him on a daily basis, giving...

Last month was such a special one, it was birthday time for Aly!

Yes, our oldest turned 15, which means she now has a driving permit! It was a fun day.  My parents were in town and were able to participate in our many festivities. On the kids birthdays they get to pick the meals for the day so we started the day with a breakfast of pumpkin squares.  I took Aly to the mall a few days before her birthday and she was able to pick out all of her...

Rylee had a birthday, shout hooray!

Rylee turned eight on December 18, 2011.  What a great eight years we have had with her so far.  My kids only get birthday parties on certain years and this year happened to be a year for Rylee. She got an American Girl doll for her birthday.  We figured since we “never buy them for her because they are too expensive and only Santa will bring them to her” we would get her one this...

Grant me patience Lord, but hurry…..

This cute little saying is on a mug that my mom has and I remember it back when I was just a little girl. It is actually something I would love to have when they don’t want or need it anymore. My name used to be on the bottom of it, but somehow it got washed away!!! Anyway, I think patience is something I am going to be trying to learn my whole life. Justin’s appointment went fairly...

The Gingerbread House

Every year my parents, sisters and brother and their families get together and have a Gingerbread House Showdown!  We live too far away and we haven’t been able to participate, but this year some of the kids really wanted to decorate one and so the journey began. I think next year I may try to make the gingerbread myself so each of the kids can decorate their own.  Maybe we can have a...
